Since my undergraduate studies I was fascinated by the nervous system and dedicated my career to understanding basic neuronal biology. I have trained in state-of-art microscopy, which I combine with variety of molecular and cellular biology techniques to gain insights into mechanisms behind mitochondrial life cycle in neuronal cells.
I co-authored several research and review articles as well as presented findings at scientific conferences. This experience made me aware of how crucial proper communication is for knowledge transfer, developing new ideas, and establishing collaborations. Consequently, this led me to starting a blog directed to young scientists about panel and figures’ design for scientific articles, and later to this website.
I am currently a guest researcher at Utrecht University, looking into transition to science communication. I am interested in opportunities related to preparing grant proposals and manuscripts for publication, as well as presenting scientific findings to general public.
